Load was picked up by Mark Nomeland at the Presidential Hanger at Andrew AFB, MD.
He handed the load off to the Coultras who made the required delivery on time at the Yellowstone Airstrip.
Because of timing, they could not hang around that airstrip so they took off to the next landing at an Airstrip in the Grand Canyon.
At that airstrip they were allowed to hold and watch AF1 come in and land.
The tires were not needed at this site so they were allowed to go and return the tires to Andrews AFB.

This chopper was being hauled up to a movie set in Canada. Rumor was that this chopper was being used in a new A team movie!
AC Power a Common sight
There’s a buzz in the air and it crackles with energy. AC power that is. While power inverters have improved life on the road for drivers, they pose a potential predicament for fleet operators. Most fleet owners realize they can attract and retain drivers by allowing inverters on their trucks. Fleet Maintenance & Technology did a story on AC power and interviewed our company.

Through the Eyes of a Trucker
Joe Speek is more than just a driver for SPD, he is also a very gifted photographer. He was kind enough to offer his services as a commercial photographer to take some photo’s for our web site. He wanted to do something for SPD so with camera in hand he made his round through our offices and took the current staff photos you now see in the Contact area.
When Joe is not driving for us he is out taking more wonderful photographs, he has a site called, Northern Edge Photography, which is where he posts some of his work. Take a moment to head over there to enjoy the fine photographic skills of this lens artist.
Below is a shot he sent me of his truck out on the open road.
